A song for Sam

I got me a Cowbird account. It’s a collaborative writing community. In their words, “a witness to life.” In my words, a good excuse to keep writing non-fiction.

My first Cowbird story was written per request of my friend Sam:

“I’m sorry, Sam, but I don’t remember how we met. I was probably drunk or about to be, hopping from flat to flat, bar to bar in a strange country.

“But, it’s okay, Sam. I do remember the moment we became friends and not just people who say hello at Pint Night. Maybe you remember this? We both wanted cookies.”

Like a D6

I play Dungeons & Dragons.  Yep, I do.

A group of us play over iChat/Tokbox once a week/once every two weeks.  Because we all love our DM, Amy, but we live terribly far away from her.

So far, I’ve only posted two character portraits––the one of someone who might be me (but might not be) and Styx.  Styx is my only currently-active D&D character.  She’s a half-elf scout.  Amy’s created an incredible world for us lowly players to romp in, but Styx has one of the shorter ends of the stick in that other races are terribly, terribly prejudiced against half-elves.

Woops.

More to the point, I think the song ‘Like a G6’ is hilarious.  But would be better if it went something like this: [hit the jump!]
